SbN started out of a passion for food, sustainability and breaking the norms. Riley and Alyssa went to school for Permaculture Design in Washington state. When they came home they used their mom's house as a sustainable permaculture R&D test ground. It was soon after that Drake, the other Hughes brother, joined in their passion. They saw something as simple as planting a tree made so much more sense if it could also give you food. The turned this passion into a landscaping company that focuses on function as much as aesthetic design. SbN is now a team of six who are working hard to change the landscape in Springfield MO and the surrounding areas.
