I walk in and just by listening, not immediately logging into the computer but making eye contact and listening, patients are put at ease. I've probably heard it all, and I'm willing to work through anything with patients. This is a no-judgment zone.

Early on I had a lot of family members who passed away due to various illnesses. I just wanted to be part of the care team process and the team that took care of them. I loved seeing the doctors there, and I knew I wanted to pursue that later in life and also be part of the team that prevents things like that from happening. I knew that was my path in life pretty early on.
