Air Evac Lifeteam, founded in 1985, provides emergency air ambulation services to patients living in West Plains, Mo. It is the first air ambulance service in the United States that offers a membership program. Air Evac Lifeteam uses transport ventilators with adjustable tidal volumes to handle all pediatric needs. Its on-board monitor has capnography capabilities for monitoring tidal carbon dioxide levels. It has medical crews that consist of a registered nurse and a paramedic. It is licensed as an air ambulance provider in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Mississippi, Illinois, Kentucky, Iowa, Alabama, Indiana and Texas. In addition, Air Evac Lifeteam operates regional offices with maintenance and fueling centers in Oklahoma City, St. Louis and Nashville, Tenn.
