Powell Gardens

Buying a ticket for their special events is easy. Even though there's currently construction, it doesn't seem too bad to get around it. I went to the #DarkForest with #Quixotic performances...

Christmas lights. Extremely overpriced for what you get, then they have the nerve to charge parking fees. Save your money and go to area free lights.

It's simply a beautiful, peaceful place to be in nature, surrounded by colorful blooming things. It's fabulous in the spring fall winter and summer.

I'm sad to say I wouldn't recommend visiting Powell Gardens, at least in the fall. I visited on September 20, 2025 as part of a Midwest-wide road trip to see major gardens and historic sites....

Huge disappointment, it felt eerily creepy as almost the entire place flowers, trees etc. were either dead or sick looking (for the exception of at the very front), ponds were overgrown with green...
