Max Burchman, MD

I was born and raised in St. Louis. My professional goals are to treat children with both acute and chronic pulmonary issues. I too have asthma, so I understand pediatric asthma on a personal and professional level. My professional interests include childhood asthma and allergic diseases, sleep-disordered breathing, pediatric sleep, chronic cough, exercise physiology, cystic fibrosis, sickle-cell lung disease, and premature lung disease. It is a privilege to practice medicine here at Mercy Clinic and help serve my community.

This physician is affiliated with SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Dr. Powers is board certified in pediatrics. She completed her internship and residency at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. She earned her medical degree at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Powers has a special medical interest in pulmonary medicine.

Laura Slamp, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC, AE-C, is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner for the pulmonology team at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. She received her both her Bachelor of Science in nursing and her Master of Science in nursing from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. Laura sees patients from birth to 21 years old and practices at the main hospital campus and the specialty clinics in north county, south county and in Lake St. Louis. She specializes in asthma and high-risk asthma. Laura enjoys treating children with a multitude of pulmonary diseases and enjoys building relationships with her patients and helping improve their quality of life.
