Kansas City Middle School of the Arts

Paseo Academy, located in Kansas City, Mo., offers a wide range of fine and performing arts classes to students in grades nine through 12. The school organizes various theater and dance auditions, creative writing classes, instrumental music and visual arts programs. The institute also offers programs, such as metro choir, string festival, instrumental fall concert, band and orchestra auditions, acting recitals and writing competitions. The school has various facilities, including city and recital hall, theater and auditorium. It organizes debate competitions that involve students of more than 1,300 schools throughout the state. It additionally has an advisory council that provides group and individual counseling to students and parents.

The mission of Paseo Academy is to provide rigorous and effective instruction leading students to achieve proficient and advanced mastery of academics and the arts while meeting the needs of individual students.
