My main clinical interest is treatment of atrial fibrillation. It's the most common thing I see in my clinic. I also treat other arrythmias - extra beats that come from either the bottom or the top of the heart, really fast rhythms that come from the top of the heart, and also life-threatening rhythms that come from the bottom of the heart (the ventricle). We can treat these in a number of ways from lifestyle management for some of them to medications to basic procedures.

I think the best way to put patients at ease is to be their friend. I really like talking to patients and explaining what's going on and really listening to them. Just letting them know there are no wrong answers with what the want to tell me. I want to know the truth and what's really going on, and that's the best way to help them.
