Persimmon Point Resort in Oakland, Arkansas, is located just south of the Missouri State Line in Marion County, Arkansas. We are about 20 minutes from the city of Mountain Home, Arkansas, where you'll find entertainment, shopping, churches, movies, and dining. We are also within close driving distance of the Bull Shoals Dam and Power Plant, the White River recreational areas, and Mountain Village 1890. We are also within a nice drive of the Southwest Missouri attractions of Silver Dollar City, Branson, Springfield's Bass Pro Shop World Headquarters, and the Mansfield, MO location of the Laura Ingalls Wilder home where the "Little House" books were written! We added another new 6 stall dock in 2003. The Persimmon Point Boat Dock was newly built in 1995. The dock is covered and completely powered with solar generated 110 volt electricity. This solar power system generates enough electricity to charge all boats, run the lights and the fish cleaning station, all at the same time! In each of the 12 roomy, 10' wide by 20' long stalls, you'll find an outlet for battery charging. For swimming or fishing, there is a deck with a climb-out ladder. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has installed a 200 foot long, underwater fish attractor within casting distance of our dock. This underwater brush pile brings bass, walleye, bream, and crappie within reach, so the fishing is fantastic! Anytime you rent a cabin Persimmon Point Resort, your boat stall use at Persimmon Point's Boat Dock is FREE for the duration of your stay. If you don't have a boat, you are welcome to use our aluminum fishing boat for short trips around our cove, free of charge with your cabin rental. If you have lots of energy, you might enjoy our paddle boat instead! Pontoons and bass boats designed for those special outings on the lake are available for rent at the marina. They are perfect for sight seeing, water skiing, and fishing. Persimmon Point Resort is the perfect spot to celebrate family reunions!
