I grew up in a small town. I knew I wanted to be in a small town. I knew there was a need. I really like obstetrics. There was probably a good chance that I would have ended up in obstetrics other than the fact that I was scared that I might end up in a small town by myself. So, family medicine was the perfect alternative. I think that family doctors, in particular ones that deliver, get to experience way more than our counterparts in just pediatrics and obstetrics get to do, because we get to truly take care of the whole family.

I love helping people, wanting to make a difference in people's lives. And then taking that extra second to really listen to what they have to say to hopefully provide the best care for them. I love the values that Mercy puts forth, the Catholic or the Christian-based values.
