SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital offers a new 40,000 sq. ft. Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center that is three times larger to meet the growing critical care needs of 75 outlying partner clinics and nearly 50,000 patients annually, within a 250-mile radius across Missouri and Illinois. The Emergency Room, conveniently located beneath the operating room for easier access for our trauma patients, features exam rooms, quick-turn rooms, a behavioral health unit as well as its own designated CT and X-ray machines. Patients are encouraged to take Lasalle Street on the north side of the hospital to find the separate entrance and parking for the Emergency Room.
