Since 1984, Green Oaks Inn has been an assisted living center in the state of Alabama. Based in Florence, Ala., it provides care through managing two communities of sixteen beds each namely Creel House and Pepper House. Creel House is a specialty care unit that recognizes the level of care needed for residents with Alzheimer's or other dementia-related disorders. It provides care supervised by a medical director, as well as provides assistance with all activities of daily living, home-cooked meals, church services, pastoral services, private/semi-private rooms, exercise instructor, laundry and housekeeping. Pepper House is a traditional care unit with private home-like accommodation with an activities director and exercise instructor on staff to encourage the residents to remain alert and active.
