Face to Face Health and Counseling Service was established in 1972 as a phone-in crisis counseling center. The organization serves more than 2,500 homeless and underserved youths and adults. It offers health care and support services for individuals. It supports a program called Intensive Systems Therapy (IST), which is an intensive home-based therapy for violent and emotionally disturbed youths and their families. Located in St. Paul, Minn., Face to Face Health and Counseling Service has a workforce of more than 50 full- and part-time employees. The organization offers various services that include reproductive health, family planning, prenatal care and HIV testing. In addition, it offers immunizations and diagnosis for chronic illnessess. It supports several programs that include case management, GED counseling and services, and it also helps in finding safe housing, employment and educational options.
