The Tiny Diner in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood showcases bio-intensive urban farming methods and efficient water-use strategies through its edible gardens and rainwater catchment systems. With a solar-paneled patio roof, Tiny Diner offsets a good portion of its energy usage. There are also rooftop honeybees and annual crops to foster pollinator habitat and soil fertility. But the main attractions are the good food, beer, and wine! Every month we pay tribute to diner towns across the United States by exploring different ways to use our Midwestern bounty. Ingredients are locally and sustainably farmed, and seafood follows the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch guidelines. Tiny Diner is a popular neighborhood spot and a truly unique place in the Twin Cities and beyond. Serving breakfast and lunch till 4 p.m., dinner and weekend brunch.
