We use an integrated medical-behavioral care model and team-oriented approach to help adults manage with complex, chronic medical and behavioral conditions. Patients must be referred to our clinic by their doctor.

The University of Minnesota Physicians Riverside Dental Clinic provides comprehensive dental care for adults who have an underlying medical condition that may add complexity to the management of their oral health. Affiliated with University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, the Riverside Dental Clinic also serves patients that need additional care due to physical or developmental disabilities, dental phobias and anxiety. Graduate dental residents-working under the supervision of dentists and faculty members at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry-provide care at the clinic. Our dentists are faculty of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry as well as graduate dental residents in the School of Dentistry's General Practice Residency Program at University of Minnesota Medical Center. In addition, we work in multidisciplinary care teams that include dental hygienists and dental specialists.
