Brothers Oscar Ulland and Palmer Ulland began their woodcutting business back in 1920 with little more than a handsaw and an old Ford truck. The company has completed paving projects for parking lots, public roads and private streets. It has opened and closed landfills and provides reclamation services for beaches. As a supplier, Ulland Brothers provides construction companies with aggregate supplies such as road building materials, railroad ballast, roofing rock and hot-mix asphalt. Ulland Brothers has three facilities in Minnesota, including one in Hibbing.
