Minnesota Search & Rescue Dog Association (MinnSARDA) has been serving Minnesota and beyond since 1981 as the state's oldest volunteer K9 search and rescue unit. Their mission is to provide trained K9 handler teams to assist public safety agencies in the event of a missing person.

While their services are offered free of charge to requesting agencies, MinnSARDA does not deploy at the request of private citizens and does not offer dog training classes. The K9 teams are equipped to search for live individuals and cadavers but do not provide assistance for missing pets.
