Wayne State University College of Nursing is a public research institution providing opportunities for urban research and teaching. The college offers bachelors, masters, doctoral and post doctoral programs in nursing. The academic programs offered by the school includes traditional program, second career and second degree program, accelerated registered nursing program, and registered nursing and bachelor of science in nursing completion programs. The Master's degree programs offered by the college includes adult health, family, community and mental health, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, advanced practice nursing with women, neonates and children, school nurse practitioner option, nurse-midwifery option, and graduate certificate in nursing education. It also offers a center for health research that conducts nursing and health-related research. The college is located in Detroit, Mich.
