Tracy Anderson, CNM

Elizabeth chose a career in midwifery after seeing the connection between proper healthcare and individual’s empowerment. She believes patients who have access to a provider they can trust will have less stress in their lives because their concerns are being heard. Elizabeth loves meeting new patients and making plans for their health together. Whether it is discussing a birth plan or finding the right birth control method, Elizabeth finds it fun exploring options with her patients so they can feel excited about their care. She has a special interest in working with Spanish-speaking patients, postpartum support and Centering Pregnancy, a group-centered approach to prenatal care.

Lori was inspired to become a certified nurse midwife (CNM) by the midwives she worked with when she was a labor and delivery nurse. Their approach to prenatal care was far more personalized and patient-centered than anything she had previously experienced. Lori loves being a CNM because every day is a new experience for her. She enjoys meeting new patients and getting to know them and their families while providing care. Lori is especially interested in reducing the primary cesarean section rate. She attended her first CNM conference on reducing primary cesarean sections in November 2016 and she credits that experience for guiding how she practices today.

Laurel was inspired to become a midwife when she witnessed her friend give birth with a nurse midwife and student, at a hospital in Oregon. She went on to volunteer as a doula (a childbirth support person) for several years while completing nursing prerequisites and her nurse-midwifery schooling. She loves the infinite variety of stories in midwifery and hopes that patients who come to see her feel heard and respected. In her work at Bronson, Laurel particularly enjoys Centering Pregnancy prenatal groups, contraceptive troubleshooting, holding space during normal and difficult labors and explaining health concepts.
