The most important thing to me when it comes to providing quality care is to make sure that every patient is treated with dignity and respect. We all deserve to feel heard. This is why I emphasize good communication with my patients. I want them to ask me questions and be engaged in their care so that together we can reach the best possible outcomes.

Maureen chose internal medicine as her specialty because she enjoys helping her patients improve their health over the long term and likes having the opportunity to make a positive impact on their life. She has a special interest in supporting patients with chronic diseases and has a managing diabetes. Maureen credits her mom for playing a significant role in her life and was the one who motivated her to pursue a career in healthcare. When she's not working, Maureen takes pleasure in mentoring and guiding physician assistant students, helping them grow into future healthcare providers. Additionally, she has a deep passion for traveling and discovering new parts of the world.

Anissa Martinez loves interacting with and getting to know her patients. Anissa looks forward to learning more about each patient individually, knowing that everyone has their own story. In her free time, Anissa loves spending time with her friends and family as well as attending Michigan State basketball games. I believe in approaching patient care with intention, integrity and compassion. It is important to me that a patient trusts and agrees in their plan of care with the end goal of an improved and healthier lifestyle. I strive to be a positive and encouraging part in my patient's health, creating plans that are both achievable and sustainable.
