Monroe School District 103

Monroe Public Schools is the largest of nine public school districts in Monroe County, Michigan, with approximately 6,000 students in its preK-12 programs. About 900 people are employed by the school district, each working together to offer a wide variety of quality educational programs and services to students and the community.

Monroe County Intermediate School District operates various public and nonpublic schools. It provides educational services to students in prekindergarten through grade 12. The district offers a range of general academic and special and career education programs. It also offers distance learning and technology preparatory courses. In addition, the district provides health education and conducts speech and occupational therapy classes. The district offers various sport activities, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, cross country, and track and field. It organizes a variety of conferences and workshops and conducts drug awareness sessions. The district s counseling division provides personal and career guidance services. Additionally, Monroe County Intermediate School District offers food and transportation services. The district is located in Monroe, Mich.

Jefferson High School provides classes to students in grades nine through 12. It comprises various departments, including band, business, English, fine arts, foreign languages, guidance, physical education, industrial arts, math, science and social studies. It also houses a special education department for students with mental, emotional and physical disabilities. Its fine arts department offers painting and drawing, clay art, collage making, and pot painting and decoration. Its guidance department provides counseling and advice for attaining academic and career goals. It has a cafeteria and fitness center; library and media center with Internet abilities, and science and computer labs. The school offers various clubs and organizations, such as the National Honor Society, student council, robotics, drama and auto clubs. Jefferson High School is located in Monroe, Mich.
