Melissa Beach, FNP

Sue Smith has always had a passion for people. She was six years old when she decided she was going to become a nurse someday. After spending twelve years as a registered nurse, Sue went back to school to pursue her degree and become a nurse practitioner. She felt this would allow her to form deeper, more meaningful connections with her patients. Now she loves coming to work every day where she has the opportunity to touch someone’s life – whether that be a patient, their loved ones, or her coworkers. Sue has a special interest in breast cancer. She also actively volunteers at the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care sponsored activities, like the annual Survivors’ Celebration.

Dr Cox feels honored to work with his patients and team up with them in their healthcare. He knows a cancer diagnosis is very emotional and wants to keep communication open with his patients. Dr Cox lost his mother at a young age to leukemia, sparking his passion for caring for those with cancer. He enjoys the opportunity to work with others who share his compassion for their patients. Dr Cox has special interest in GI tumors, breast cancer and lung cancer. To expand access to cancer care across southwest Michigan, Bronson has partnered with other hospitals in our region. As part of this collaboration, Dr Cox is currently seeing patients only in Coldwater and Marshall.

Elizabeth chose a career in ENT because she truly enjoys caring for patients of all ages. Her surgical background in the ENT specialty and her love for the patient population drove her to pursue her nurse practitioner degree and guided her career choice. Elizabeth enjoys collaborating with the wonderful team at Bronson and meeting new patients with various needs and experiences each day. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and traveling. She volunteers her time at community health clinics and at her local church Elizabeth's husband and family have had the greatest influence in my life. They continually encourage her to pursue her dreams, work hard and serve others.
