With a specialty in palliative care, she focuses on pain and symptom management, helping patients and their families navigate complex medical journeys with comfort and dignity. Early in her career, Mary worked in a bone marrow transplant unit. This allowed her to see firsthand the importance of building strong relationships with patients and their loved ones. This experience shaped her approach to medicine, emphasizing the power of connection and holistic support.

Alyssa chose pediatric medicine because of her own experience as a pediatric patient in the hospital as child. The staff that took care of her as a child not only cared for her medical needs but inspired her to want to help others too. The care she received as a child has been her inspiration for choosing pediatric care. Alyssa is passionate about the work she does because she knows with each day she is presented a new opportunity to better herself and those around her.
