Mallory Brockie, FNP

Dr Cox feels honored to work with his patients and team up with them in their healthcare. He knows a cancer diagnosis is very emotional and wants to keep communication open with his patients. Dr Cox lost his mother at a young age to leukemia, sparking his passion for caring for those with cancer. He enjoys the opportunity to work with others who share his compassion for their patients. Dr Cox has special interest in GI tumors, breast cancer and lung cancer. To expand access to cancer care across southwest Michigan, Bronson has partnered with other hospitals in our region. As part of this collaboration, Dr Cox is currently seeing patients only in Coldwater and Marshall.

Sue Smith has always had a passion for people. She was six years old when she decided she was going to become a nurse someday. After spending twelve years as a registered nurse, Sue went back to school to pursue her degree and become a nurse practitioner. She felt this would allow her to form deeper, more meaningful connections with her patients. Now she loves coming to work every day where she has the opportunity to touch someone’s life – whether that be a patient, their loved ones, or her coworkers. Sue has a special interest in breast cancer. She also actively volunteers at the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care sponsored activities, like the annual Survivors’ Celebration.

“My dad used to say that doing the right thing even when no one is watching was imperative because God would know. That level of integrity has guided me throughout my career.” Debora chose to pursue a career in nursing because she has always been fascinated by the complexity of the human body and the pure joy of caring for others. Outside of work, Debora enjoys spending time with family, reading, kayaking, running and pursuing lifelong learning. “I strive to provide the same level of care that I would want for my family. Kind, compassionate, respectful care that is patient-centered and focuses on patient advocacy.”
