Dr McConnell chose physical medicine and rehabilitation because the focus is not just about how to live, but how to live well. This specialty is all about teamwork, and she loves working with patients and therapists to find new solutions to individual concerns. Dr McConnell says that the best part about coming to work are learning and teaching. She regularly mentors medical students and residents. The human body, mind, and spirit are amazing and there is always something to learn and something to teach others that can help us improve and grow. Social support has always been the biggest influence in her life. She would not be where she is without the support of her family and friends.

Dr Brian Kamer chose a career in medicine because he loves figuring out complex problems while improving people’s health. He strives to have a positive impact on his community and credits his family and wife for always encouraging him to be the best version of himself. In his free time, Dr Kamer enjoys spending time with his two children, as well as skiing, hiking and boating. He also plays the guitar and trumpet. I feel privileged to take care of the patients at Bronson. They are the reason I get up every day and go into work. If I can make a positive impact on someone’s health, then it has been a great day.
