Lake Street Commons is a private home with private apartments with separate access. Each apartment has its own attached deck and is only a short 4 minute walk to Saugatuck's downtown on Lake Street. Centrally located on Lake Street to both downtown Saugatuck and Douglas, a mere 10 minute walk across the bridge. Bring your camera because the early morning and evening shimmers on the waters of Lake Kalamazoo are breathtaking. Great for bird watching. The home was built circa 1880 in the time of the Western Michigan lumber barons. Restoration efforts continue since 2002. We continue to lovingly work on the home and landscaping especially the Koi ponds and small woods on the property. Lake Street Commons Lodging offers: Fully provided for kitchens (you bring the food it you choose), Kurig coffee makers, coffee and teas, dishwasher (2BR) and full baths, fluffy towels, amenities, sheets, blankets and pillows.
