Health Intervention Service

The Lacks Cancer Center offers inpatient and outpatient services to patients in western Michigan. The center provides diagnostic and follow-up care solutions for cancer patients. It administers the Cancer Well-fit program, which features exercise sessions. The Lacks Cancer Center also offers pain, personal and palliative care services. The center manages a boutique that provides gifts, accessories, soaps, flowers, jewelry items and lotions. In addition, it offers digital mammography, colonoscopy, ultrasound, CT scanning and MRI services. The center conducts research and clinical trials, as well as manages a radiation oncology department. The Lacks Cancer Center is a part of Saint Mary s Health Care.

Ionia County Community Mental Health, located in Orleans, Mich., offers a full range mental health, developmental disabilities and cooccurring substance abuse care services. It offers various adolescent services that include peer-listening programs, facilitating groups for youths, short-term individual sessions, and crisis planning and intervention. Its assertive community treatment team offers multiple services that deal with areas, such as health, hospitalizations, legal problems, homelessness, employment issues and social isolation. It offers a full range of services, such as crisis management, family support, infant mental health, adult and various therapeutic services. Ionia County Community Mental Health also offers additional services, including outpatient therapies, prevention initiative, jail diversion and case management services.
