Robert says his mom has been the biggest influence in his life. She continues to cheer Robert on with every step of his journey. As a multi-sport athlete and patient, Robert became familiar with the world of orthopedics. He had always been fascinated by body mechanics and admired his healthcare providers knowledge of anatomy and skill in repairing damaged bones and joints. At that point, Robert always knew this is a career I would enjoy. In his free time, Robert enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as golfing, traveling and trying new foods. He also volunteers with the Special Olympics and the Humane Society. I decided on the physician assistant profession because of my desire to provide patient focused care.

Samantha Grundemann, PA-C, has always known she wanted to work with people. Combined with her love of science, she found medicine to be best way to combine the two. She initially started in pharmaceutical research and decided to go on to be a physician assistant, which allowed her to work directly with patients. Growing up in Kalamazoo, Samantha’s parents were strong influences in her life. They provided her with a strong foundation for her personal and professional life and pushed her to be hardworking and independent. I am very passionate about family medicine and strive to build a relationship with each one of my patients and their families.
