David Peck, MD, is a 1988 graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and is a member of the Providence Primary Care Physicians Group. He has a special interest and a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine, the branch of medicine concerned with the assessment and improvement of fitness, and the treatment and prevention of injuries related to sports. Dr. Peck can offer advice about exercises to improve endurance, strength and flexibility; perform fitness tests; and offer nutritional guidance. Dr. Peck completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Michigan State University. He is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and a member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine. He is also Associate Program Director of the Providence Sports Medicine Fellowship program. Dr. Peck is one of the team physicians for the Plymouth Whalers Hockey Club of the Ontario Hockey League.
