History

Thomas E. Parker has been a silversmith for over 20 years, and he learned the trade from his father who has been in the business himself for over 50 years! Thomas has been surrounded by the art of silversmithing his entire life, and after working for his father for 12 years, he decided to venture out on his own. On New Year's Day of 2007, Thomas happened upon a little store front in Great Barrington that had a 'For Rent' sign out in the window. He loved the location, and in May of that same year The Berkshire Gold & Silversmith opened its doors to the public.

Over 500 designs made with love, with more always being made! We have something for everyone of all personalities and ages, create special custom orders, and even love to create wonderfully unique, one of a kind wedding bands for newly engaged or married couples. Along with our beautiful jewelry designs we also carry other items from a wonderful product line and other local artists, and have outstanding vintage pieces! You will also find suit and tie accessories, card cases and money clips, items for the home, artwork and photography, handcrafted drums, pewter, pottery, crystals, and more unique and cool treasures here in our store!
