Simmons University - Holmes Sports Center

Established in 1989, William J. Holmes Sports and Fitness Center has training equipment, hardwood courts, swimming pool and an indoor running area. Located in Boston, it also operates a more than 60,000-square-foot facility. William J. Holmes Sports and Fitness Center is owned and operated by Simmons College, which is an academic institution that offers various graduate and post graduate degree programs. Simmons College offers undergraduate courses that include Africana studies, chemistry management, economics, English, information technology, mathematics, and computer and environmental science. The college operates a school of social work that provides clinical social work education for men and women for advanced clinical scholars. Its college of arts and sciences provides over 20 graduate programs and dual-degree options in the areas of education, English as a Second Language, special education, communications management and liberal arts. Simmons College is comprised of nearly 200 full-time faculty members and approximately 650 alumnae volunteers.
