History

The business began as Newbury Quality Home Building in 80's. In 1989 a new facility was built. With a fresh start in a new facility, the company also changed it's name to New England Fine Home Building. After years of successful building, we continue to withhold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and an outstanding customer relationship.

New England Fine Home Building has withheld an outstanding A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau for over 25 years of doing business. We specialize in custom residential homebuilding. The company began as Newbury Quality Home Building in the 80's and moved to a new facility a few years later, changing the name to New England Fine Home Building. The owner, Herbert Hodge, has had a Department of Public Safety, Construction Supervisors License (CS-028080) for over 45 years in MA. Herb grew up in the home building business, building homes with his Father at a very young age. Herb later went into the Aircraft industry, owning an experimental aircraft company, Antique Aeroplane Engineering, building antique planes in both Rhinebeck, NY and Elizabeth, NJ. Since opening New England Fine Homebuilding, the company has built hundreds of homes, and hundreds of condominiums, building on customer's and developers's purchased land. We comply with all MA regulated building codes, Home Energy Rating System (HERS), REScheck, and Storm Water Management Control. All our homes are 2015 energy approved by Massachusetts State regulations.
