Mile Tree Elementary School

Founded in 1954, William H. Hatton Elementary School serves more than 430 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It has a staff of over 35 employees. The school has a computer laboratory and several computers in each classroom. William H. Hatton Elementary School has a parent-teacher organization that sponsors several events. It operates a library media center. William H. Hatton Elementary School also participated in the Relay for Life and Ronald McDonald House fund-raisers. Its students are involved with Presidential Academic Fitness Program, Presidential Physical Fitness Program and D.A.R.E. Program. The school features staff walking and ski clubs. It is governed by Southington Public Schools.

The school offers bilingual education and English as a Second Language programs. It provides compensatory and special education and extended-day care programs for its students. The school also offers advanced education programs to gifted and talented students. Laurel Ledge School s syllabus includes art, consumer and health education, language arts, family and consumer science and social studies. It additionally provides after-school learning programs and conducts summer camps. The school promotes participation in a range of extracurricular and sports activities. Laurel Ledge School is a part of Regional School District 16.

Located in North Branford, Conn., Jerome Harrison Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school organizes various activities, Christmas parades, monthly birthday and honor roll parties and parent involvement programs. Its academic curriculum includes reading, speech, science, art, music, and health and physical education. In addition, Jerome Harrison Elementary School offers English as a Second Language and special education programs for gifted and talented students.
