Originally founded to address the lack of treatment options for individuals with substance use disorders, CASPAR has grown to offer a comprehensive range of programs, from street outreach to aftercare housing, all centered around non-judgmental and person-centered care. In 2014, CASPAR joined forces with Bay Cove Human Services, further strengthening its commitment to evidence-based research and proactive programmatic response to emerging populations and trends in substance use disorders. CASPAR's Woman Place program provides a lifeline for women struggling with addiction, offering counseling, group sessions, and a supportive environment to help them on their journey to recovery. The organization's First Step Street Outreach program reaches out to unsheltered homeless individuals affected by substance use disorders, mental illness, and medical complications, providing them with essential services and building trusting relationships. CASPAR's Emergency Services Center (ESC) serves as a shelter for homeless men and women actively using drugs and alcohol, offering not only basic necessities but also medical and mental health care, counseling, and case management.
