The Associates for Human Services was founded in 1974 to meet a wide range of human services needs in the Greater Taunton area in Massachusetts. AHS is a private, nonprofit agency providing support services for children, adults and seniors experiencing developmental delays and disabilities, economical disadvantage or educational risk factors. It works with individuals at all levels of ability to support their efforts to achieve equality, dignity and independence. Its parent-child home program is a home-based literacy and parenting program that serves families in Taunton and Raynham with children aged 18 months to 4 years. This program includes play sessions with the parent and child and the demonstrator emphasizes verbal interaction and learning through play, using carefully chosen books and toys. The agency s other programs include residential, Early Head Start, early intervention and wise adult day health. The Associates for Human Services is located in Taunton.
