Bellingham Fire Department

The Bellingham Police Department works to safeguard the lives and property of residents, businesses and visitors, as well as maintain social law and order. The department also maintains a K-9 team that undertakes building searches, criminal apprehension, evidence searches and tracking. It provides the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that provides education to students in Kindergarten though grade twelve. The Bellingham Police Department provides information regarding domestic violence, sexual offender and emergency situations. The department is operated by the city of Bellingham, Mass., which additiopnallly manages public works, fire, finance, human resources, plumbing and electricla departments.
