Wisp Resort is a year-round golf and ski resort located in McHenry, Md. Wisp has one of the world's largest most energy efficient snowmaking systems with computerized weather and pumping stations. Its golf course is an 18-hole, par 72, championship golf course. Along with skiing, snowboarding and golf, Wisp features the 102-suite, 67-room Wisp Resort Hotel & Conference Center. Its rooms are equipped with refrigerators, coffee makers, hair dryers, iron/ironing boards, individual climate control, telephones, data ports and cable television with pay-per-view movies. During ski season, each room has its own conveniently located ski /boot locker. Wisp Resort lies in the heart of Garrett County, the western most and largest county in Maryland. It is adjacent is Deep Creek Lake, the largest inland lake in the state, with more than 65 miles of shoreline. Wisp is less than a three hour drive from the metropolitan areas of Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh.

Nice skiing for beginners. But dull for the experienced. Lifts are slow and frequently stop. No foot rest on the chairs, which is uncomfortable. Way too much flat terrain and even uphill terrain....

This place is an understaffed, worn out, complete dumpster fire. For starters, don't try to book anything online. The website doesn't work. That leads me to a phone call....if you'd like to remain...
