Located in Baltimore, Mount Saint Joseph is a private, Catholic, college preparatory school for young men sponsored by the Xaverian Brothers. Founded in 1876 it serves more than 1,000 students in grades nine through 12. It offers various honors programs in English, foreign languages, mathematics, science and social studies. It also offers advanced placement courses in biology, environmental science, chemistry, drawing and English literature. Additionally, the high school offers the DePaul Program that is designed for college-bound students with specifically diagnosed and mild learning and language disabilities, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia and other language-related difficulties. Its provides a wide variety of athletic activities, including cross country, football, soccer, volleyball, water polo, basketball, ice hockey, track and field, swimming, wrestling baseball, lacrosse, golf and tennis. The high school is approved by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Baltimore and the Maryland State Department of Education.

Southwest Academy is a part of Baltimore County Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Southwest Academy serves students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies and language arts. The academy supports a variety of extracurricular programs in art, vocal music, orchestra, band, and health and physical education. In addition, Southwest Academy offers foreign language sessions in Spanish. It provides medical care, speech pathology, and guidance and counseling services to students. The academy has a parent-teacher association that supports various fundraising events and activities. Located in Baltimore, Southwest Academy has a library and media center that offers a collection of magazines and reference materials.
