Infinity Broadcasting, now known as CBS Radio, is one of the largest market radio operators in the United States with its stations covering news, alternative rock, country, classic rock, oldies and urban formats. A division of CBS Corporation, CBS Radio operates nearly 150 radio stations. The company covers several leading sports franchises, including the National Football League, the National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League. CBS Radio additionally covers the Olympic Games, the U.S. Open, the Grammy Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards. In addition, CBS RADIO owns the CBS Radio Network, which provides hourly newscasts to more than 1,500 news and news-talk formatted stations. CBS Radio has several radio stations based in Baltimore.

It owns and operates, programs or provides sales services to 60 television stations in 37 markets. Sinclair's television group reaches approximately 22% of U.S. television households and includes ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, WB and UPN affiliates. The company owns a majority equity interest in G1440 Holdings, an Internet consulting and development company and Acrodyne Communications, a manufacturer of transmitters and other television broadcast equipment. Sinclair's television group includes 19 FOX, 18 WB, 10 ABC, six UPN, two CBS affiliates, one NBC affiliate and two independent stations. Its news franchise includes 30 of its stations that air local news in 26 markets. Sinclair Broadcast Group was founded in 1986 and is traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol SBGI. The company reported its net broadcast revenues from continuing operations were nearly $615 million in 2005.
