South River High School

South River High School, established in 1979, offers education to students in grades nine through 12. It has an enrollment of more than 2,000 students and is affiliated with Anne Arundel County Public School District. The school offers various subjects in its curriculum, such as mathematics, science, English, social studies, art, foreign language, and health, physical and technical education. The extracurricular activities offered by the school include visual and performing arts, theater, dramatics, debate, literary magazine, yearbook and National Honor Society. It provides various sports activities to students, including field hockey, football, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, cross country, golf, basketball, baseball, softball, lacrosse, and track and field. The school also organizes winter carnivals, summer camps, annual crafts show, music events and athletic meets. South River High School is located in Edgewater, Md.
