Empowering Minds Resource Center is a Psychiatric Rehabilitation treatment program that is based on the recovery and person-centered models of rehabilitation for children and families. We specialize in providing in-home services ( offsite ) and onsite services. We understand the need to meet the client where they are. Individuals are provided with skills and support to embrace their mental wellness, to enhance the quality of their life and to pursue personally valued roles in their living, learning, work and social environments. Many individuals with mental illness experience difficulty being included in the community and accessing community resources. This is due in part to the segregation and isolation that they have experienced, and in part to the disabilities associated with their mental illness.Our Rehabilitation Counselors focus on building hope in a positive and possible future, symptom management, coping strategies, people skills, development of transferable work and school skills to build readiness, vocational goal setting, wellness planning, problem solving, socialization skills and therapeutic creative expression.PRP is an add-on service to primary mental health treatment provided by an individual's therapist or psychiatrist. This service also includes training on daily and community living skills as well as medication monitoring and support in utilizing appropriate treatment services. We help individuals understand, access and utilize community resources.Uplifting Minds Resource Center is a psychiatric rehabilitation treatment program for adults which is based on the recovery and person-centered models of rehabilitation. Services focus on the client's ability to engage in personal self-care ( grooming, personal hygiene, etc. ), development of relapse prevention skills, community living ( handling individual finances, medication management, using community resources, performing household duties, developing peer relationships, etc. ), learning ability/ self-direction and to sustain functionally the role of worker, student, homemaker, or family member.UMRC is an organization that believes in the functional model and the principle of normalization and thus recognizes the importance of home and family values in each individual life. Since our goal is to meet the clients wherever they are, our services will be conducted offsite as well as onsite to enable us to identify with the consumers and to get a good understanding of their situation. This will ultimately will help each client to attain his/her full potential.The Rehabilitative services will include supportive services addressing client's functional goals and needs at home, school, workplace and the community at large. We will address rehabilitative goals in a conducive environment, identify areas of need and promote maximum independence and integration into the community through an array of rehabilitative services. Clients' independent living, employment and career counseling will also be strongly emphasized.Healthy Minds Resource ServicesHealthy Minds Resource Services is a multifaceted mental health services agency. We offer a broad range of high quality mental health services to individuals and their families. The agency has developed programs that address the need for the presence of non-traditional mental health services in urban areas. The therapeutic philosophy emphasizes individual treatment planning, client-driven goals and defined outcomes. The program has been developed in accordance with supported clinical observation and empirical research of the effectiveness of a Strength-base model and home-based counseling. All services are provided by a licensed mental health provider.
