History

Republic was opened by Jeff and Barbara Black, with partner, Danny Wells. Jeff and Barbara own 5 other restaurants, including, Black's Bar and Kitchen, Black Market Bistro, BlackSalt and Fish Market, Pearl Dive Oyster Palace and Black Jack. Alongside Danny Wells, a Takoma Park native, the team have established a great neighborhood and destination restaurant in the heart of Takoma Park.
