Maya Salameh, MD

Dr. Lemore Carmi is an Assistant Professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. She specializes in interventional radiology.Dr. Carmi received her M.D. from Drexel University in 2003, and performed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Hahnemann University Hospital in 2008. She completed a fellowship in interventional radiology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2009, and then joined the Johns Hopkins faculty.

Dr. Allan Gottschalk is an associate professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include anesthesiology. Dr. Gottschalk serves as the director of the Postdoctoral Research Training Program in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine.Dr. Gottschalk received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Boston University and his M.S. in systems engineering and biomedical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania and performed a research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Anesthesia. Dr. Gottschalk joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2001.Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Dr. Gottschalk was an assistant professor of anesthesia at the University of Pennsylvania. There, he was also a member of the Sleep Center, the Vision Center and the Institute for Neuroscience.Dr. Gottschalk serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including The Scientific World Journal and World Journal of Anesthesiology. He was recognized by Johns Hopkins with a Service Excellence Award in 2011. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Dr. Nimgaonkar is gastroenterologist and a medical technology researcher at Johns Hopkins University. He is an assistant professor of medicine, a medical director at the Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design in the JHU Biomedical Engineering department and an adjunct faculty at the JHU Carey Business School. He leads numerous translational technology research projects at Johns Hopkins in the areas of gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases. His particular interest is to investigate the physiology behind various interventions to treat metabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity and apply various engineering tools to develop novel therapies for these diseases.He has been inventor on many technologies and a recipient of numerous awards including the AGA-Boston Scientific career development technology & innovation award and the CIMIT-Johnson & Johnson Young Clinician award. His work has been supported by grants from both foundational ​and federal (NIH, NSF) agencies.
