Atlas Container Corporation, founded in 1968, is one of the largest and fastest-growing independent manufacturers of corrugated packaging in the mid-Atlantic region. The company distinguishes itself from other box manufacturers on five primary levels: size, equipment versatility, service, design capabilities and company growth rate. The Atlas plant occupies approximately 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Severn, Md. It employs 200 full-time, nonunion workers and utilizes its trucking fleet to deliver orders to more than 850 customers throughout Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. The company s design shop is equipped with a computer-aided design-operated design table used for designing and cutting customer samples.
