The University Volunteer Ambulance Corps, also known as UVAC, is the on-campus emergency medical service for the University of Maine. They respond to emergency calls at the university and provide mutual aid to surrounding towns and agencies. UVAC is a student-run ambulance service, staffed by UMaine students and alumni, and is licensed by Maine Emergency Medical Services. Their mission is to provide the highest quality of care to the University of Maine community, following all regulations set forth by Maine EMS.
