Camp At the Eastward

Mission at the Eastward (MATE) is dedicated to creating safe living spaces and enriching the lives of children and youth in Central Western Maine through its transitional housing, housing repair, and youth connection programs. The organization mobilizes a robust network of volunteers to address housing insecurity and foster resilience in economically disadvantaged communities.

Each summer, MATE welcomes hundreds of volunteers from across the eastern United States, who work together to repair homes and support neighbors in need. Through these efforts, MATE not only provides immediate assistance but also inspires hope, security, and dignity among the families they serve.
