Dr. Powell received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University. She went on to complete her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica. Following this she completed her internship and residency at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX, where she served as chief resident from 2014-2015.
