HistoryMy work as counselor has been in Shreveport, Louisiana in solo practice since I began. I was licensed in 1989 when Louisiana first began to license counselors. I was licensed as a Professional Counselor. Earlier, I had been approved for Clinical Membership in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. In 2002, Louisiana enacted liscensure for Marriage and Family Therapists and I elected to make this my sole liscensure. For the majority of my practice, I have conducted by work from an office in my home which provides greater confidentiality, security and comfort than most office settings..SpecialtiesCOUNSELING for Individuals, Couples, and Families. I see all ages. I am specially trained to help individuals, couples and families with relationships. In addition, I have training in CHILD Development and work with children. I also treat psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, DID and verbal & emotional abuse. My work is grounded in a Christian world view of life. I serve clients who do not have a Christian faith commitment and those who do. I use a problem focused therapy that seeks practical solutions.
