Eleanor Carrio, MD, practices psychiatry at Ochsner Health. Dr. Carrio has expertise and additional training in alternative therapies for treatment resistant depression, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). She offers comprehensive care for various needs, including major depressive disorder, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other psychotic illnesses, and ADHD. Dr. Carrio earned her degree in medicine from Louisiana State Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2018. She was board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2023. Dr. Carrio is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of her patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. She has been practicing at Ochsner since 2022. Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading, Pilates, history and cooking.
