My interest in mental health stems from working various positions and multiple roles under the umbrella of mental/behavioral health for around 16 years now. My experience began as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. I went back to school and became a registered nurse. As a RN, I worked at an adult/geriatric psychiatric hospital where I grew to love what I did even more. I still knew I could give more; therefore, I decided to go back to school to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Through many trials and tribulations, I managed to overcome the obstacles.
