Lincoln Parish Police Jury is a governing authority for Lincoln Parish, which is a group of various geographic regions called districts. The Lincoln Parish Police Jury is a more than 10-member body of elected officials that governs for a period of over 3 years. It provides drainage, sewerage, solid waste disposal, and road and bridge construction and maintenance services. The body also operates Lincoln Parish Park, which features mountain biking rails. It also offers services to several commissions and boards, including the Detention Center Commission, Library Board, Communication District Commission and Lincoln Parish Fire Protection District. In addition, the body houses and maintains the Courts and offices of assessor, coroner, clerk of court, registrar of voters, district attorney and sheriff.
